Another hazy, lazy, crazy day of summer at the market…

The weather forecast is for warm and sunny… come on down to the market! Here is who will be with us this week and what farm fresh products they will be offering:

Dragonfly Hill Farm offers vegetables, fruits, farm-fresh brown eggs, and handmade alpaca wool crafts. This week, Mark has summer and zucchini squash, green beans, cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, sweet cherries, blueberries, peaches and possibly red raspberries.  Dragonfly is also a participant in the Farmers Market Nutrition Program, accepting WIC and Senior FMNP checks.

Maplewood Farm will be selling different sizes and varieties of maple products.

Aurora Ridge Gardens will be on hand to offer landscape plants, flowers, and vegetables.

Standing Stone Honey Products plans to have honey, creamed honey,  beeswax candles,  Bee Soothe skin balm, lotion bars, beeswax lip balm, and honey soap. Ron reports he will have fresh spun basswood honey, extracted just this week.

San Pedro Sister Community volunteers will sell brightly colored bags and hammocks handmade by the artisans from the San Pedro community in El Salvador. Some of the volunteers just returned from a trip visiting the San Pedro community and brought back a new assortment of hammocks ($65) and bags. As a fundraiser for the San Pedro community, the local volunteers also sell Equal Exchange Fair Trade certified coffees (whole bean and ground), tea, cocoa, chocolate bars, and snack products – almonds are back!

Byler’s Baked Goods offers delicious breads, pies, turnovers, cookies, sweet rolls, jams and jellies.

Gimme Waffles by Seed Born Foods LLC  will be again offering delicious gluten-free waffles with homemade toppings, both sweet and savory, homemade ice cream, fudge and banana bread muffins. This week’s savory waffle topping will be Mediterranean chicken.

Integrated Pet Services will be back this week, offering pet acupuncture. Tracey Stevens DVM is a fully licensed veterinarian who is also certified to offer therapeutic acupuncture to treat a variety of canine illnesses, like arthritis. Bring your pet to the market (on-leash, please) and see if acupuncture might improve your ailing pet’s quality of life.

And Bob Lyna from Nuclear Ukulele will be back this week as well, singing favorite oldies and familiar tunes. If you enjoy Bob’s music, think about dropping a little something in his guitar case to pay for his gas and keep Bob and his musician friends coming back to the market.

We hope to see YOU tomorrow at the Market.
