With the opening day of the market quickly approaching, only 1 week away, we’ve got some exciting news to share. As we have mentioned before, throughout this market season, we will be having a raffle. The San Pedro Sister Community will be raffling off 2 hammocks.
Here is a little bit you can learn about the story behind these beautiful hammocks: “Cleofa, her three sons and their families, live on the edge of the San Pedro Community. Her sons Jose Freddis and Javier are in university studying Computer Technology and Sustainable Agriculture respectively under the San Pedro Sister Community Scholarship Program. Cleofa’s third son, Noe, is the recipient of a new home through the Dignified Housing Project which started with a conversation during one of our delegation trips and is funded through the U.S. non-profit F.A.C.E.S. – In gratitude, Cleofa made 2 hammocks especially for us and presented them to us before we left in 2018. We offer them to you, our extended community in this raffle. Enjoy!” (story submitted by Cathy Mullarney, representative for San Pedro Sister Community)
Tickets for the raffle can be purchased every Saturday throughout the season, $1/1 ticket or $5/6 tickets. The first drawing will be on July 27th, and the final raffle will be on September 28th. The hammocks will also be on display to observe at the market tent throughout the season as well. Come down and check out these beautiful hammocks and enter for your chance to win!
