Last week’s Market crowd was our largest ever! Hopefully this week will be just as lively, even if we do get to dodge a few raindrops. Here is who will be at the Aurora Farmers Market on Saturday and what they will have to offer.
The Aurora Farmers Market is open from 9am – 1pm every Saturday through October, located at the Wells College softball field parking lot, on the corner of Route 90 and Poplar Ridge Road. Come by, come buy!
Kozlowski Honey sells honey in many different flavors and sizes, even honey sticks.
Aurora Ale & Lager offers artisan beers on tap (buy a growler or refill the one you have!). AL&L also sells logo-ed T-shirts and beer glasses, and offers free tastings for those over 21.
BooRadley’s Garden offers landscape plants, hanging flower baskets, and vegetables. They are a participant in the Farmers Market Nutrition Program, accepting WIC and Senior FMNP checks.
Dragonfly Hill Farm offers vegetables, fruits, farm-fresh brown eggs, and handmade alpaca wool crafts. This week, Mark has summer and zucchini squash, lettuce, cucumbers, beets, fresh garlic, Swiss chard, and sweet cherries. Dragonfly is also a participant in the Farmers Market Nutrition Program, accepting WIC and Senior FMNP checks.
Aurora Ridge Gardens will be on hand to offer landscape plants, flowers, and vegetables.
Standing Stone Honey Products plans to have honey, creamed honey, beeswax candles, Bee Soothe skin balm, lotion bars, beeswax lip balm, and honey soap.
San Pedro Sister Community volunteers will again be selling brightly colored bags and hammocks handmade by the artisans from the San Pedro community in El Salvador. The local volunteers also sell Equal Exchange Fair Trade certified coffees (whole bean and ground), tea, cocoa, chocolate bars, and snack products.
Gimme Waffles by Seed Born Foods LLC will be again offering delicious gluten-free waffles with homemade toppings, both sweet and savory, homemade ice cream, and fudge.
We will also have two special guests this week:
- A representative from Fidelis Care, a non-profit health insurance company providing quality, affordable, New York State-sponsored health insurance coverage for people of all ages and at all stages of life. Come learn about your options.
- Bob Lyna from the musical group Nuclear Ukulele will be back, offering a wide variety of familiar songs of all musical genres. If you enjoy Bob’s music, toss a little something in his guitar case as a “thank you”.
