Another sunny day at the Aurora Farmers Market this past weekend. The weather kept us guessing – we had a very light sprinkle right at 9am, but then the weather cleared and we had sunny weather the rest of the time. We had our second-highest shopper attendance this week, taking full advantage of offerings from ten different vendors. We welcomed another new vendor this week: Natasha La Tay from Green Gardens in Cayuga, with veggies and landscape plants. In exchange for completing a customer opinion survey, we offered the opportunity to enter a drawing for a market goodie basket filled with something from every one of our vendors on Saturday. Sonja Anderson was the happy winner of that overstuffed market basket. And Village of Aurora Mayor Bonnie Bennett, whose original brainchild the Aurora Farmers Market was, stopped by to say “Hello!” and do some shopping. All in all, a pretty great day!
