Help us end our season in fine fashion!

It sounds like a seasonally warm, possibly damp Fall day during our last market of the 2016 season tomorrow. Layer up, bring along your umbrella, just in case, and come on down to the market and get your pick of  the best this late fall season has to offer.

The Aurora Farmers Market is open from 9am – 1pm every Saturday through the last weekend in October, located at the Wells College softball field parking lot, on the corner of Route 90 and Poplar Ridge Road. Come by, come buy!

Below is the list of vendors who we know will be at the Farmers Market this week. We may have some surprises, too.
Will we see YOU there?

Dragonfly Hill Farm offers vegetables, fruits, farm fresh brown eggs, and handmade alpaca wool crafts. Mark reports that this week, he will have apples, grapes, Asian pears, broccoli, Roma tomatoes, potatoes, butternut squash, garlic, onions, and red bell peppers. Dragonfly Hill Farm is a participant in the Farmers Market Nutrition Program, accepting WIC and Senior FMNP checks.  If you don’t know what this is, get information on the eligibility requirements for these nutritional support programs at the Farmers Market management booth.

Gimme Waffles by Seed Born Foods LLC will serve up delicious gluten-free waffles with homemade toppings, both sweet and savory, homemade dairy-free ice cream, and fudge.

Knob Hill Hog Farm
offers USDA-certified lean pork products, including bacon, chops and roasts, all produced without antibiotics or hormones.

Kozlowski Honey will have comb and liquid honey.

Red Head Ranch Soaps makes a variety of handmade, all natural, cold process goat milk soaps and vegan Castile soaps, scented with essential oils.

San Pedro Sister Community Project volunteers sell brightly colored, handmade bags and hammocks, and handmade cards by the women of Sacacoyo, El Salvador.  As a fundraiser, the volunteers also sell Equal ExchangeÔ  Fair Trade-certified coffees (whole bean and ground), tea, cocoa, chocolate bars, and almonds.

Standing Stone Honey Bee Products will include pumpkins. and honey products including fresh honeycomb, pure honey and creamed honey, and beeswax candles.

We will also visiting alpaca that you can meet and pet. Come on down!

The Aurora Farmers Market is a project of the Center for Sustainability and the Environment and Wells College. The 2016 season Farmers Market manager is a Wells student, Shania Dauphinais ’18. Joining Shania to help out at the market is Fall Market Intern Elizabeth Reeve ’17.
